Ubuntu

  • Birth Stories in Color - ZOOM Conference Room (map)

In honor of Black Maternal Health Week join us in Ubuntu.

Ubuntu is a South African term meaning “humanity,” often translated as “I am because we are." The essence of this is what embodies our story circles — an opportunity for birthing persons to connect and find power from their experiences. Understanding through the bond of sharing we uplift ourselves, but in doing so, we also uplift our community.

Whether you had your baby this week, last year, eight years ago or 20 years ago, join us. If you have experienced loss, this space is also for you. No matter what you previously thought about your experience or were told to think about your experience, join us in changing your narrative.

This will be a virtual adaptation of our in-person story circles. While we will be using a ZOOM conference room, we will not be recording this event. This is a POC (people of color) safe space.

An Opportunity

  • To connect with other birthing persons in the space of love, compassion, and understanding

  • A space to explore your feelings about birth and becoming a parent

  • Tools and guidance to re-examine your birth and birth a new story about your experience

  • Honor the transformative journey of birth and beyond

  • While this event is free, registration is required. Click the link below to register.
