The Closing of the bone ceremony acknowledges immense change. This ceremony helps to realign the bones and muscles. Long pieces of cloth are wrapped, closed, and pulled into a grounding embrace, beginning at the top of the head and working down to the feet. Guiding the bones back into place, helping the pelvic organs shift and the uterus to shrink back down, and stimulating blood flow. This realignment aids in milk production, relaxation, and releasing muscle tension. This ceremony is not exclusive to birthing people, parents, or women. It can be deeply healing after the loss of a baby, a hysterectomy, or where fertility challenges present themselves. It is for anyone who is going through or went through a traumatic or life-changing experience such as marriage, divorce, separation, loss of a job, moving homes, going into menopause, etc. Done at any point in life, allowing for a physical, emotional, and spiritual release.

    The Ceremony:

The ceremony will last between 2- 3 hours. We will begin the closing by providing you with a herbal foot soak. During this time we will help you in reflection and setting intention for our time together.

We will then guide you to your closing space, here we will move through 5 points of your body providing various hand massage techniques to move, release, and re-connect energy throughout your body. Before moving on to each section we use cloth to rock the areas slowly and steadily and then wrapping or closing them to settle into alignment. After we complete the ceremony, we will provide some tea and light snacks to help you re-enter the space.

We encourage and welcome you to invite people from your birth support team or those close to you to take part in this ceremony or you can choose to experience this solo. Little one are also welcome to join at any time.
